  21. We really need to agree that this pandemic situation has forced all of us to review and redesign every aspect of our life and the education system is not exceptional. As we the teachers are in a situation where we can not interact with the students face to face, and of course we can not abonden them I have opted for online interaction. The ways I followed to interact and transact content to my students are 1. Phone 2. Whatsapp 3. Zoom 4. Google meet
I called them to watch online classes telecasted on doordarshan, I sent videos, images and text and conducted tests through whatsap, I conducted live classes on Zoom and meet apps. The problems I faced are 1. Very less number of students are attending to live classes and responding on whatsap. some dont have phones, some have no data, some are not interested. Though i attached no tech with hitech still may are missing. I finally understood that online cannot substitute the class room. not yet. thank u

  22. During covid time we are in touch with students via online classes,I taught them via whatsapp and Google meet and some time via phone call. The changes I noticed in them in this pandemic situation is they become lazy and dependable on Google...their reading skill come down...they are not remain as energetic as they used to be when they are in the school, this change might be because of lack of physical excercise which is present earlier in the school as they participate in different games and sports

  24. In this pandemic situation it is most difficult to touch with the students regularly. However, with the help of technology we are enable to touch with our students in respect of providing education and mould them as earlier. We have started imparting education to our students with the help of technology via numerous multimedia and voice. But it is difficult to assess their performance accurately as they engage in education from their home and far from the view of us.
Therefore, I would like to suggest that there should bring such intervention which keep the student busy in competing oneself for moulding one own knowledge and behaviour. I would also like to say that constant lockdown should be taken-off and allow the students to attend their physical classroom at the earliest following SOP. Our students though confronted with Technology but prevailing negative effect in their education.

Through watsapp we are able to share our lessons, through pictures, video, messages and microsoft document. Students also sent their assignment by pdf format. Students' responses is good. Their level of acquirement of knowledge and understanding is a bit difficult to fully access by this online class method.

  133. I used Googler Jamboard to teach subjects like Mathematics . Its student friendly and will give you a feeling of attending real life classroom environment. We even made videos using modern gadgets at the real class room and posted the class through You tube channels. Every time a small group of students were called in their mobile phones through Conference calls to discuss their difficulties. Presently i have started using Google Meet to connect with the entire class for Live Classroom teaching.

  136. I used WhatsApp ,Google meet, and Google form for online teaching. But it was really difficult for me to keep in constant touch with students as some of them did not even have smart phones. For those who have smart phones I am doing regular classes with flexible time as some of the students are using their parents' phones. This pandemic taught us many new things. As teachers we too learnt and still learning new way of teaching processes.

  139. As a School Head I had to face a lot of challenges initially. Being a rural school of Sikkim, non existence of internet, unavailability of smart phone with students, technologically illiterate teachers were the major challenges.I
Immediately after the first lock down I told the teachers to continue classes through watsapp. Only few teachers could do the classes through watsapp. And later when the pandemic slowed down we started home schooling.
But in this second lock down teachers are doing excellent job. Now they are highly technology friendly. Apart from watsapp, they are using google meet, zoom, youtube, teachmint app, live classes, live videos, text messages, phone call, DIKSHA APP, Sikkim Edutech app etc.
But still there are students who do not posses smart phone. Some are using even neighbor's phone to attend classes.
So the major change that we witnessed is school system has shifted from offline to online, physical to virtual, transitioning to digital world.

Sending them study material and assignment through whatsapp and conduct of online test in the form of google form quiz. collecting data and feed back in google sheet. now after more than one year of online teaching, both students and teachers are well adapted and it has became a new normal.

  161. During Covid -19, jumping from the conventional mode of Teaching to digital mode was a challenge in itself especially given the fact that there was no uniformity in the economical standards of the students as to access to cellphones in addition to the network reception and data packs.
Given all the conditions, the digital mode of online teaching was conducted via firstly WhatsApp. The problem being, assessment of the same was difficult .
Zoom meetings and google meet was the second way of assessing students on the basis of the notes and audio/video explanation provided to them.
The recent teaching mode I personally like is via, Teachmint App- live classes are conducted on a smooth manner, assessing has been easier, students who fail to attend live classes can get access to recorded version of it, attendance is generated automatically and so on.

The live classes are surely a major change in pandemic time. Further, reaching out to all students during this situation is still a problem. Regular phone calls and video calls and online parents teacher has been a normal part of the process.

Different learners have different specific areas where they can excel. All learners are not equally able in all activities(Curricular and co- curricular). So,they should be enchouraged to take part in myriad of activities.Their own effort and support of teachers help them qualify,if not excel,in their weak areas too.

  180. After catastrophic hit by deadly virus(covid-19), we all had to switch our method of teaching learning, from offline mode to online mode compulsorily because we had a no choice left other than accepting and customization of digital method of learning. So at the very first, I collected their phone numbers and created a watsapp group and made them understand how we can do classess through digital devices. Then we started our online classes on watsapp by sending the self made vedios, voice recordings, notes etc, and all discussion, interaction and doubts were solved and done by voice messages only. And when they get used to with technology, I shifted our classes from watsapp to other digital platforms like Google meet, and started to doing live classess and now the classess are going smoothly as like as were in back days where situation was perfectly normal. And Iam conducting all internal assessment(class and home assignments, unit test, project, Viva etc) through online mode only and we both teacher and learner are learning simultaneously with changing time.

  181. The Pandemic made us more knowledgeable to the use of modern day technology other than the board and chalk. It gave us an insight and hands on practice to various platforms such as Google meet, zoom,MS teams..etc.
Also taught us the various features of sharing modules in form of pictures or videos on the screen for better understanding of the students.
Inspite of it being a disadvantage at times due to the networking, yet it developed an optimistic approach to do our best for the students with whatever resources we had.

At the starting of lockdown period,it was really difficult to get in touch with students and students were reluctant in attending online classes regularly.Though the hurdles was many but as a teacher we need to motivate ourselves fisrt then comes our learners i.e our students.we were able to remain in touch with our students during this lockdown period also through phone calls, whatsapp class, google meet class and we were able to continue our teaching learning process to some extent,i cannot say Hundren percent because there were students from rural area where network connectivity is really poor, some have financial problems where they cannot afford smart phone and recharge every month.so this pandemic period make us aware about how to evolve ourself with changing situation.

  187. During covid-19 situation, we found students we spending ample of their precious time doing nothing. To keep them in touch with books, firstly, we made classwise(subjectwise) whatsapp group. Since, many of them are underage students, their parents did not allowed them cellphones all the time. Sor, for teachers to get all the students online at once was not possible to to conduct face to face online class. So, we made lesson videos and compressed them to suitable size so that can be uploaded in whatsapp groupone after another. By doing this, they can now play and learn from video anywhere, anytime and pause and replay any video whenever they don't understand the lesson. To check their progress, we conducted online test timely.
